And if you’re a big-time Amazon Alexa user, you’ll be able to call on your favorite voice-controlled assistant in the car. Built-in Amazon Alexa

After you load the Alexa app onto your phone and pair your phone to this JVC receiver, simply press the dedicated “Alexa” button on the faceplate, and you can access music, audiobooks, news, weather, traffic, and smart home controls using your voice.

Great Android compatibility

JVC’s remote control app lets you use your compatible Android phone’s touchscreen to control your music. With your Android phone safely attached to a mount, you can reach down and skip a track without taking your eyes off the road. Android users can access Pandora® and Spotify® through the Bluetooth connection — no wires needed. You can control your favorite stations using your voice, your phone, or the receiver itself.

Go hands-free with Bluetooth

Automatic pairing makes it a lot easier to enjoy hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, no matter what kind of phone you’re using. You can also pair two phones at once, so you don’t have to choose between the personal phone and the work phone when you’re driving.

Add on satellite radio

Start enjoying the wide variety of music, sports, news, and entertainment by adding an optional SiriusXM® tuner (sold separately) to your KW-X840BTS. With coast to coast coverage, you’ll never have to stop enjoying your favorite channels.

Colorful choices

The KW-X840BTS plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and even high-resolution FLAC files, and you’ll find a wide array of sound-shaping tools, including Space Enhancement to match the sound to the size of your car, and a 13-band graphic equalizer. The variable-color display lets you choose the look you like, and you can assign different colors to two zones.
