EASY MUSIC CONTROL AND A HIGH-CONTRAST LCD DISPLAY

This all-in-one music player features an LCD display with one-line RGB illumination for your preferred display color. The new high-contrast LCD display has five times the contrast of a standard screen, making it simple to see at all times.

Alpine’s trademark rotary knob makes it simple to manage all of your music. This model also includes a convenient front-panel auxiliary input for plugging in a portable media player as an alternative source.

When connected via USB to a compatible AndroidTM smartphone, the CDE-172BT provides Android AOA (Android Open Accessory) 2.0. When compared to regular Bluetooth® audio streaming, the AOA connection enables superior music and sound control.

Do you want to listen to music on your iPhone without plugging it in? Using the Bluetooth connection, stream your music. The CDE-172BT can stream music from your iPhone’s local storage, iTunes Match, or select third-party audio apps. If you have an Android smartphone, the CDE-172BT is Android AOA (Android Open Accessory) 2.0 compatible. Access AOA via the USB connection for improved sound and control over basic Bluetooth® audio streaming. These functionalities are provided by the faceplate keys.

CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL

If your vehicle includes factory Bluetooth steering wheel controls, they will also manage the built-in Bluetooth functionality on your CDE-172BT. Alternatively, you can use a third-party adaptor to control the CDE-172BT from your factory-installed steering wheel controls. To add this feature, use an adapter from a well-known manufacturer, such as Axxess or PAC. The RUE-4202 Wireless Remote Control is also compatible with the CDE-172BT (sold separately).
